The Institute for Innovation and Technology (iit) within the VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH (VDI/VDE-IT) is a neutral, certified partner for public clients as well as for companies and organizations. It offers a wide variety of scientifically based, decision- and action-oriented services that contribute to the analysis, forecasting, evaluation, design, promotion and communication of technological as well as non-technological innovations. It works closely with European institutions, ministries, research organisations, and innovation agencies worldwide to strengthen global knowledge exchange and technology transfer. Through its participation in EU framework programmes, cross-border foresight studies, and bilateral innovation partnerships, the iit contributes to shaping international innovation and education policies. The iit is a cross-sectional institution of the VDI/VDE-IT and is located in Berlin.
